Attended Inaugural Indian Formula one race from Star Stand 1 which i selected after much deliberation. Stand is situated end of long straight(really long 1.1 KM) and start from DRS braking zone. On paper it was the best location to see some overtaking maneuvers, As this was the first event on this circuit there was no feedback available.

Evidently lots of people did their homework and star stand 1 was packed, However very high safety nets with wide service road will obstruct the clear view of the race track. Height of the stand should be increased so that spectators can get clear view of whats going on.
Also Do not get your tickets in initial blocks of the stand as it will obstruct your view to Turn4 and beyond. Try to get as near to turn 4 as possible.
Now listing above drawbacks in East zone best location i found was start of Star stand 3, you will get clear view of the straight with cars coming to you as well as overtaking which take place on Turn 4 going upto Turn 5.
